Guest Stars on Csi, The Mentalist and Masters of Sex

My episode of CSI aired last week. Here is a collection of most all of my scenes.

I had a small guest star on showtimes Masters of Sex where I played a creepy mustached man. I think my character was modeled after director john waters. I got to wear a vintage 50's rayon aloha shirt. Before becoming an actor, I made my living selling vintage clothes in Japan and often dealt in aloha shirts. It was nice to bridge my old job with my new one.

Commercial auditions are funny!

Some actors despise commercial roles. I've actually enjoyed the work I've done in commercials. Commercial auditions are a very different animal from a tv/film audition. When auditioning for a film or tv role you get the script and your lines before hand and generally know what you're getting into. Not so with commercials. This video, by British comedy duo Cardinal Burns, is one of the funniest looks at commercial auditions I've ever seen. NSFW warning.

Yesterday, actor Scott Beehner, of Groundlings fame, released a video that really sums up the reality of auditioning for commercials. It is truly spot on!
